Press Release

Each magazine edition of WSU Beyond the Books will be released at the beginning of both fall and spring semesters of the academic year. Every month during the school year, the editorial staff will publish pamphlets specific to different aspects of Washington State University.  For example, for this upcoming November, an informative pamphlet on financial aid will be available to WSU students.  The semester magazine editions will include articles that cover a wide range of topics that will help guide new WSU students and introduce them to the opportunities and resources that are available to them in Pullman.

As the editorial staff, we believe that our magazine is beneficial to all WSU students and alumni.  Our magazine will educate its audience on things such as financial aid, tourist activities, living options, student involvement, and much more.  Since our magazine is local and targeted towards Pullmanites, it will attract local businesses as potential advertisers.  Companies such as the Cougar Copies and the Bookie would be our primary publishers and sellers.  Every semester, 1,000 copies of our magazine editions will be available for sale at both the Bookie and Crimson and Gray.  Each magazine issue will be selling for only $2.89.  For a yearly subscription, which includes all of our monthly pamphlets, our semester magazine editions, and exclusive money-saving deals for our sponsored companies, it will only cost $20 annually.  This subscription must be renewed yearly.

Our website will be updated each semester to provide a sneak peek of our upcoming magazine issue.  If you have any questions for us, please feel free to contact us by visiting our "Contact Us" page or by emailing us at wsubeyondthebooks@gmail.com.
